Who we are

Stitch Pattern Studio at https://crossstitchgen.com is operated by Luyu Fang, an individual in China. This policy explains what information the site handles. For privacy questions, email [email protected].

Photos stay on your device

When you choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP, the file is read in your browser. Cropping, resizing, matching colors to DMC floss, drawing the chart, and building a PNG or PDF all happen on that device, including the heavier color work in a background thread in the browser. The photo is not uploaded to our server, and we do not keep a copy of it. The chart lives in the browser tab until you refresh or close it.

The sample charts on the gift guides were generated by the same matching step from illustrated pictures shipped with the site. They are not photographs of customers.

License keys

The free preview does not ask you to create an account. If you unlock Pro, you type a license key. The browser sends that key, and a name for this browser stored in local storage, to a small function on this site. That function asks Creem, our merchant of record, whether the key is active. We store the result in local storage on your device so the page can remember that this browser is unlocked. We do not run a customer database of photos or charts.

You can remove the saved license from the unlock dialog in the studio. That clears it from this browser only.

Payments

Paid plans are Pro at $5 per month or $29 per year. Creem is the merchant of record: Creem sells the subscription, charges the card, and appears on the statement. We do not receive or store your card number. Creem handles the payment details under its own privacy policy at https://www.creem.io.

Hosting and analytics

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. That analytics tool does not use cookies and is not used to identify you. Cloudflare may process technical data such as an IP address as part of hosting and analytics. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell personal information.

How long information is kept

Because photos and charts are not sent to us, we do not have a retention period for them. The license status in local storage stays until you remove it or clear the browser’s storage. Payment records are kept by Creem under Creem’s rules.

Children

Stitch Pattern Studio is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your requests

Email [email protected] if you want to know what we hold about you, or if you want a correction. For a photo or chart, we have nothing on a server to delete. For a payment or subscription, contact us and you can also use the Creem customer portal linked from your receipt.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated text will be posted on this page with a new date.
